چکیده

arotid aneurysms from the petrous segment are rare. They re usually asymptomatic and do not present with a subrachnoid haemorrhage. Clinical presentation depends on neurysm’s location, size, and direction of growth. Aneurysms n close proximity to the medium ear may cause hypoacusis nd tinnitus. Otorrhagia and epistaxis may also occur after the upture of an aneurysm, as well as Horner’s syndrome and ymptoms of the jugular foramen nerves. The involvement f the VII nerve is not common. Current treatment options nclude carotid artery balloon occlusion, whether or not folowed by a bypass through the external carotid; embolization ith coils; remodelling with stents; or a conservative manageent by serial imaging exams.1
